Re: PC problem
ya im probably gonna have to change the psu i put in the case too cause it is virbating sometimes, its rly weird, usually only does it when its not been on for a 2 days or so, i must have knocked something lose when i was cleaning it out Tongue

ya teo, if you dont have to many power consuming items in ur case (which iam assuming you dont) then you should be fine with putting in a lower power psu, i know some of the ppl on here will say otherwise, but ive used a psu that was lower then the minimum requirements for my vid card, no problems at all, and i have always used lets say "low end" psu's or atleast ones that dont have to much of a big name on the market cause i get more for less.

Re: PC problem
Yeah... I used to feel that way Enfo... well until I fried a $300 motherboard, $120 hard drive, $50 DVD writer, and of course the power supply itself ($60). Not to mention that I nearly fried the $600 (at the time) graphic card that I was so anxious to use.

I learned my lesson, never will I use a uncertified or inefficient psu, cause that shit might go BOOM.

all you guys just have bad luck Tongue *knocks on wood*

i think i payed like $50 for a 800w psu from some company called power supply, got a discount on a shit case too but it lights up so i cant complain Big Grin

Re: PC problem
Cheap PSU's sometimes are ok but they are never good. They are inefficient (use too much electricity and lose too much in heat), run hot, can be loud, do not provide stable current to the devices and can stop working prematurely. Not to mention they can ruin components. But hey, you might get one that works (but never well). Enfo, the vibration is probably the cheap fan bearing.

Re: PC problem
ya i was thinking it might be that. But it stopped on its own, rly weird. The cheap psu i have right now runs super quiet, and it doesnt give off alot of heat, i check my psu like one a month with a voltage tester thing to make sure its running ok but i have no problems with it my cheap psus have always been good never let me down Big Grin you'll never win until my psu actually dies on me, *knocks on wood again*. But i know what you are guys are saying so no need to discuss it ne further.

And all psus run the risk of stopping prematurely and not providing the right amount of power, look at teos Tongue
