That is the risk you take when you go to another country and expect to have the same rights you do here. It is even worse in this case. All these protesters who go to Palestine and protest, like it has worked for 60 years... get a grip. Yet, they keep going and keep protesting. The mark of stupidity is when you keep doing something over and over and over and over and over again expecting it to work. Don't wanna get shot, don't be there.

Tree sitting American protesters in other countries are pathetic. It's truly sad this happened and I feel extremely bad for the guy but he shouldn't have been there. Serial protesters usually don't even have facts about what they are protesting. Not all, but the ones who will go wherever and protest whatever when they are asked to. Blah.

If you flew out to a country so far away you generally know what you're protesting... The fact that the soldier shot a guy head level with a gas shell is what is terrifying. The IDF is not known for kindness but this kinda ticks me off.

Yeah but if you know the IDF is prone to this kind of thing, why put yourself in the line of fire. BTW I am not taking a stance on the whole Gaza issue, just saying that you can't go to another country and expect for something not to happen.

I can see that, but he should accept things like this when he does things like that. I guess, occupational hazard?
