Well dl'd, burned and installed Windows 7 Ultimate yesterday. Build 7057 RC1. Installed pretty damn good to be honest, I've got it dual booting with XP Pro. Got some pretty slick stuff, and the ability to tell the UAC to STFU. :clap: I've got it activated, running the newest ESET anti-virus, all updated, new vid drivers in, and the newest Firefox. It doesn't like one of my hard drives (500 gig) but I can fix that. No problems so far. Even though it's from MS, I'm impressed. :-o

Is it smooth? Does it look good? Im thinking about installing it on my laptop. Vista is being a bitch. fucking hate it. All the time errors.. its just messing up everything.

U think its able to work on a macbookpro? I heared alot of good stuff about W7. Seems it really runs smooth as hell

I'm just doing a defrag on one drive that doesn't like to be defragged (6 hours thus far and it's 6% consolidated). I'm going to unplug the one drive that it doesn't like (different drive) and that should get it up to speed. Yeah, it's pretty, Took me a while to realize that the damn thing went to dual monitor settings (main screen on my tv, which was set to tv and not computer), so I sat there for like 20 mins waiting for the desktop (which never would've shown up). But yeah, it's pretty, it does have some cool little things (mainly performance, system info and maintenance stuff) that XP doesn't. I ran IE8 long enough to download the newest firefox. And from what I've read. It WILL run on a Macbook. I was impressed that it did the driver updates DURING the install, as soon as it was done, I had full inet and a regular looking desktop. (Something Linux has had for years). Media Player is garbage, bloatware, slow as old people fucking. But so far, I've been impressed.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about Win 7. I am not a MS fan boy by any stretch of the imagination but this one seems like it might, just might, live up to what some of OS should be.

I downloaded it 3 or 4 months ago.

Stupid thing was... nowhere was a guideline to install this on a macbook pro.

I'm running build 7057. RC1. I have it saying that it's activated, and from what I understand it will be activated until May 2010 when the final comes out. Maybe. :-?
