Once Angel gets on, she can ban the ip/acct and possibly add a CAPTCHA script.

CAPTCHA is installed and set to very blurred, would take forever and a day everyday to ban all the bots that hit us.... in reality the number that register and the number that actually get confirmed is very low and majority are all from different IPs..... i just deleted about 40 pages of bots that are unactivated.. with 50 a page. and i did the same thing 2 weeks ago. so yeah like i said be happy more don't get thru. but i will delete the ones that made it all the way thru and will see about adding another level of protection.

You can't do a DOS attack all by yourself, you cannot possibly take up enough of their bandwidth.

You generally need either a lot of people or a particularly low powered server for a DDoS attack. Nine or ten people just doesn't usually cut it.

Ahem, uhhhhh, well. :-B There are ways that a single person can take down just about anything. Easiest way is simply to telnet in and use a shell account. Numerous OC3 or better accounts can do quite a bit. At least that's what I remember from my younger days. :ymsmug:

You do realize that shit like this gets caught easily...?

These bots are usually run on other peoples PC's without them knowing (harder for them to track down, they get away). If you were to be caught, the repercussions would be costly and not worth trying to find the original fucker spamming via infected pawns.
