Actually it is really easy to ddos a forum you are a member of. When in kamikaze koala and I wrote a php script that called the forum cookie and then took a wiki line by line and posted. We were in a spam war so we changed the way we posted. Now even with flood protection enabled we set a die time the length of the flood protection. Installed apache and php on our machines and then opened up about 5 sessions of our script set them do die after 60 min and every once in a while we would just run the script and walk away. Well at one point both of us had 5 or 6 sessions running at the same time we crashed the hosts server it came back up then it crashed again and again. We got ip banned by the Host LOL which sucked because it was also my host for a few sites. But in 36 hours we posted thousands of posts between the 2 of us. Good times
