Have any of you guys seen "Marley and Me"

omg that has to be the saddest thing.... we had to put my childhood dog down at one point... my dad got her when i was 3 and she lived until she was 13.... i understand having to put down an animal once something bad happens medically... but did they really have to show it in the movie... i mean HELL HAVE BEEN CRYING FOR 20 MIN.......

I didn't see it but vaguely remember crying my eyes out when I was 6 or 7 and our German Shepherd was put to sleep because she became too overly protective of us kids and any yard intruder was fair game. I was only told about it after the fact and it broke my heart.

As you can imagine, I've had to deal with this from the other end quite frequently. The hardest one I've seen was still my own dog - not only because it was my dog, but because it had the most complications of the hundreds that I've seen and participated in, and... it really pulls at the heart strings.

Never saw the movie, but I can relate.

Had to put down one of my dogs about 5-6 years ago. Held him in my arms as he took his last breath. Cried like a baby for the rest of the day.
