WTF Audio??????

Ok, little bit drunk. LOT confused!

Got new Senhiesser 350 G4me's today. Finished work, got home, there's the box sitting in my door. Cool, maybe I can get those AND my speaksers going. As the Baracuda's use all audio out ports. Whereas the new headphones, 2 cords, line out and mic in. 2 3.5 mm jacks. Period, simple. No usb, no power, etc. Ok, here's the confusing part. disconnected all the plugs from the back audio out ports, hooked up the new headphones, and connected my old speakers with sub (1 line out from the computer) headphones I can hear without even putting them on, but no sound from the speakers/sub. Ok, start tracing wires. Hmm, sub's still powered, satellite speakers have power. I have mic and line out connected to new headphones, so, plug the speakers (in) to the audio back speakers out. No sound. Figure it's a device issue in Win 7, as there's 3 options for audio out. Ok, fine, experiment with all of them, no results. Ok, set thing back to normal. Disconnect headphone jack that's plugged into line out. Plug speakers into that. BANG! Speakers and sub, both pounding away. WTF????

Is my onboard audio somehow only running on 2 channels? My baracuda's when I did the sound manager test thing, I could hear 6 seperate channels, all going to the right places. Gaming was not the case. WTF's going on here? Have I been running in 2 channel or 2.1 channel this whole time? No sound from side/center/sub/front channels with the speakers hooked up. But with the old headphones, in sound manager, I had all 6 channels going. Didn't notice it in game though. :-s :think: I's confused. Right now, I have the 2 channel speakers and sub pounding and sounding good. If I pull the line out plug and reconnect the headphones, they pound. Where did all the other channels go?

Plug S/PDIF from front panel into sound card. Plug headphones into line out on front panel.

Sounds like you don't have enough physical ports to do what you wanna do.
