Logitech Z-Cinema. Fucking Weird.

Well, partied a bit last night, crashed early though. Woke up, figured I'd finally get around to hooking up the speakers. Ok, simple shit, sub runs everything, Hook up both speakers to the sub, plug sub in, plug in plug from sub to usb, power up comp, install drivers. Hmm, Win 7 won't take the drivers, see's the usb connected, but doesn't recognize it. Ok, uninstall drivers, find newer drivers, install those, reboot. Nope. Hmm, ok, explore driver cd, manually unpack the drivers, try to update using those and device manager, nope. Hmm, shit. Ok, XP time. Same fucking thing. Damn power light and indicators and shit just blinking on and off. Hmmm. well, google it, before I send back my obviously bad speaker system. Ok, found someone with same problem. He contacted Logitech and there's a certain procedure to getting them working. First thing, unplug usb from computer. Unplug power supply for speakers from wall plug. Shut down PC. Plug in USB, power up speaker system, THEN power up PC. Boom! Had sound, windoze finds all the usb stuff, installs all drivers, and says it installed everything, but MAY not work till I reboot. Ok, restart, MS plays it's rebooting sound, YAY. Reboot, and currently have ACDC Back in Black just POUNDING out of these things.

Pretty damn good sound actually, plenty loud enough to piss people off, great bass, and nice crisp clean tweeters. Huge ass remote that I havent really messed with yet, but it's got a shitload of buttons, so that's always a good thing. Got the speakers from Tiger Direct for like $80. That was like $220 off, so, figured I couldn't go wrong. So far so good. Just really weird that you have to install them in that order. #:-s
