Anyone here planning on buying Borderlands? I haven't made up my mind yet, but I would be more inclined to purchase it if I knew other people who had it. If you have no idea what Borderlands is read below.

Borderlands is a FPS/RPG hybrid set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. It will support cooperative play up to 4 players. Its major gimmick is that it's a first person shooter with role-playing progression (i.e. your character's abilities will become more powerful as you progress through the game). The majority of the areas and items in the game are procedurally generated, so you can get exciting things like lightning shotguns and scoped pistols with exploding rounds. The main story involves 4 different characters, corresponding to the game's 4 different classes.

If none of this makes sense to you, here's an alternate version. When you shoot someone, one or more of the following things will happen:[list]
[*]Numbers will pop out, which quantifies how much better you are getting at shooting things
[*]Guns will pop out, which can be equipped to make you better at shooting things
[*]Money will pop out, which can be exchanged for goods or services that will make you better at shooting things[/list:u]

This game is still not out? Remember reading about it like nearly 2 years ago. I might get it if it's not $50-60... or if they sell keys on ebay for like $20.

i think that game looks pretty sick, first time ive looked at ingame shots. anyone see system specs on their website? I just reformatted and I need a new game, starcraft is becoming tedious after 500 games Sad

. Turns out I have an nvidia card in this bitch so I can handle some gfx, think its an 8400.

ill be lookin for a 30-50 dollar price tag though, im outta cash again.

They are pre selling it at $45 on Steam. If you pre buy it with three other people its $34 per person. If you don't feel like buying it now they will most likely have another sale with similar prices around Christmas (which is when I plan on getting it if I do).

I'd be down to get this game. lets pre order with two others cuz that deal is sick, only via steam though ? im trying to keep this thing clean for atleast a few months and steam makes a mess of things.

I only know of the deal through Steam. But I'm looking to buy this game around Christmas. There is no way I'm buying this during the semester.

so it requires 2.4 ghz processor
and i have an intel core 2 duo at 1.83 ghz

every other spec i have covered,

can i play this game?

hopefully cuz its duo it means 1.83 x 2 Big Grin

Teo, a Core 2 Duo has 2 processors running at the specified speed. Your processor is more than adequate, IDK what Wolvie meant by his comment...
