Semi urgent i think, but it might not be, so be 1/2 alarmed
Ok so as usual the reformat went 99% success and 1% fail. Everything was A.O.K earlier today, and then windows update did its thing all day and I now notice a hardware malfunction.

In device manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers

I have two of three base system devices showing the error exclamation

Now I only have 1 showing the error.

Any idea if i should be worried? Probably an easy fix but Dell.com is failing to help as usual even when I search by service code.

Ill post again if I fix it but any help is greatly appreciated! Big Grin

cheers!

It seems your HDD's are having issues. Could be a cable problem or maybe the format fucked them up. Try using a disk partition software to format and also check under bios if your disks are being detected.

Another thing you can do is right click on My Computer and hit manage. Then check Disk Management and look at the status of each drive, etc.
May a squadron of beautiful vaginas find their way to your crotch by day's end.

Can you do a Print Screen and then upload the pic cause I'm having a hard time trying to understand the prob. (I've never had it before).

If you don't have three drives, there's a detection issue. Try what Hades suggested, but be prepared to reformat again and start from scratch.
Raise your right hand, and repeat after me.
I do solemnly swear,
To run like a Kenyan.
Teabag mofos.
And shoot 'em in the dick.
