Tired of lagging so bad

I really dont want to build another PC, but its the cheaper route.

Pls give recommendations for mobo, processor, video card, how much ram.
Im kinda partial to intel, but if the price is right ill do amd.

this is what i have now: 2.8 pentium 4 with 1.5gig ram, radeon 1600.


i really dont want to spend more than $500, but whatevs.

a rough idea of a mid grade gaming setup, shouldn't have any issues with new games with this setup. Note: didn't add hard drive to it cause I think you might want to consider using your old drive(s) to save $.

Not a bad system, especially for the price, and that's canadian price, so you might be able to get it for $600. Vid cards not bad at all, and the psu's big enough.

Really all you need is a new mobo, CPU, RAM, and probably GPU. You can use your old HDD, case, PSU, etc.

If you buy only the guts, and cannibalize your old rig to house it, you can build a bitchin' machine for around $300-$400.

& e7500 is better than the Phenom x4 9750, while also being cheaper.
