TRANSPLANT- good news

A few of my clan members have known that my wife needs a kidney transplant. She inherited PKD,polycystic kidney disease, and is now at only 20% efficiency and has no energy and feels shitty most of the time. Her kidneys weigh 35 pounds and actually makes her look pregnant since they push her organs forward causing digestive problems and breathing problems.
I got tested as a donor since my blood type is "O" (universal donor) but was told that the chances were very slim since her blood may have developed antibodies from my sperm and that it rarely happens. WELL last week we got the news that I AM a match !!!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooooooooooot
We are planning for a March/April date unless her kidney function drops lower.

We have always known this day would come and are HAPPY about it. I hate hearing "ohhh im so sorry". pssssh sorry about what ?????

Another update.

I had most of my pre-op testing done in the past weeks. I cant PEE another drop !!!!! sheeeeeesh
Anyhow all is a GO so far. Surgery is scheduled for March 17 but may be sooner if her kidney fucntion drops.
She had an ultra sound done friday to measure her kidneys and they measure 45cm and 35cm. WOW they are huge.
We are hoping they can remove her kidneys the same day of the transplant but they are worried that a 6 hour operation
may go to 12 hours and would rather wait 1 month for the removal op.

On another note: My son Seal is also in need of another open heart to correct an enlarged Aortic Root which also causes
regurgitation. In my house we do things BIG, sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh. Anyhow his op may happen this summer.

Spirits here are all high. I cant wait for all this shit to be over with.
