Connection Problems
Really dont want to re format my machine so heres the skinny fellas.

I have under "other devices" a thing called SM bus controller (system management bus controller)
went to this site http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/cs-013541.htm and tried the solution best i could (saved w/e downloaded onto jump drive) and no result. still reading as other device.

Sounds serious right...
So far the only thing Noticably not working is my internet and so ive been snooping around trying to figure out whats keeping me from logging on.

I have another error popping up from windows saying there is another computer with the same address trying to connect to the network. So I tried to fix this by turning off everything using the network adapter and then shut the box off itself. Waited a smidge and turned on my PC, still getting the same error.

I ran internet explorers diagnose connection thing and there are a few warns I get.

All of them read something like , "there is no default IP" or something.
After running start,command,ipconfig it confirms theres no default IP but it does show my IP adress as the same its always been.

I'm running out of options.

Re: Connection Problems
Sorry about the late response.

For future reference.

Open Command Prompt with admin rights.
-> type "ipconfig /all"
-> Check values for IP (192.168.xxx.xxx), make sure they are not conflicting.
-> If they are you can do the following:
-> "ipconfig /release" and then "ipconfig /renew"

If you have a DHCP enabled router or are connected directly to a modem then you should be fine (most likely). If you have a static routing setup then you will have to enter the specific IP you have set for that pc, if you know how to setup static routing then in most cases this should be a trivial task for you anyways.

Additional Tip: Use these DNS servers instead of the default, they are a lot faster.
