Yet ANOTHER new phone.

Well, got back from fishing Tuesday, and sometime on the last night there, I lost my brand new Xperia X10. Wasn't even 2 weeks old. Well, leaving shortly, gotta pick up boat from dealership, fucking waterpump went on it. $242 for that. Switching from Rogers to Bell, getting the 6 gig/$30 month deal for data, 500 anytime minutes, caller id, voicemail, and sharing for 2 cel phones, for like $100/month before my employee discount. About 66% of my rogers bill. So, grabbing a new phone as well. Getting the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. 1 ghz, 16 gig internal, also takes a 32 gig micro sd card. 4" AMOLED screen, whatever that means. All the reviews are good though. So, another android phone, it will updated to 2.2 software soon, more storage, better, but slightly smaller screen, hd video recording, but only 5 mp camera, where the Sony was 8 mp. 3 year contract, $149 for the phone. This is my 3rd! damn phone in about a month. And I've got the sneaky feeling that once I clean out my truck, I'll probably find my Xperia.

Oh yeah, BTW, Sony Experia X10, invisishield, and pdair leather flip case for sale in Canada. haven't put the screen protector on yet, still in box, case I've been using for my Galaxy, very nice. Headphones still in plastic bag, comes with factory 16 gig micro sd card, and everything it came with. Nice damn phone actually. HUGE screen, 4.3 inch. Was on Rogers for about a week, sim is still in so you can see the phone working. Will be removed when sold. Costs me like $550 for the phone, protector and case were another $60-$80 I'll throw them in. First $450 takes, perfect condition of course. I'll probably take some pics of everything and post them here too.



Now, new phone. Well, I like the Galaxy, but I was NOT impressed with the speed when doing some of the Storm8 games (world war, vampires live, etc. etc.). Always had the equivalent of the windoze hourglass going on screen. Well, read up on pda developer forums, and it turns out there's a fix. Read some more, turns out it's a free app available on the android market. Hmm, 1 click lag fix. Ok, fine, let's try it out while the phone's still covered. First thing, big warning! This will root your phone! Yeah, yeah, I knew that, do it. Ok, it does it's thing, little scared, finishes, I've got root, superuser available, and lag fix done. Now, I ran quadrant before I did that, and got an 866 score, which tells me it just a hair faster than other Galaxy S's. Ran it again after the lag fix. 2100!!!! Blows the Iphone 4 out of the water. No more waiting on ANY game, performance tripled! Phone working perfect, everything's instant now, no waiting for anything. Apparently Froyo, if they ever finish/release will do basically the same thing, but right now, I's a very happy dude.
