Re: NerdKilla
This thing just won't give up when it come to giving me problems. Now it loses internet connection every 5 minutes. When I disable and then enable the network connection it works for another 5 minutes.

Re: NerdKilla
Assuming you have cable, maybe try this? Shut off computer, unplug power to modem. Leave it off for a minute or so. Then plug modem back in, let it sync and what not(30secs-1min) then turn computer on.

Re: NerdKilla
The intermittent connection thing is most likely on your ISP's end.

Not much you can do except do like me and bitch at 'em until it's fixed.

"I'm only going to pay half the bill because your bullshit works half the time."
Raise your right hand, and repeat after me.
I do solemnly swear,
To run like a Kenyan.
Teabag mofos.
And shoot 'em in the dick.

Re: NerdKilla
I'm kinda scared to write this, cause when I say this POS is working good, something fucks up. But, it seems to be working fine now that I updated to Vista. I'm getting the pill bottles ready if this thing fucks me again.

Re: NerdKilla
Now that I think about it, windows default TCP/IP settings might not be optimized for your specific internet connection.

Might wanna take a look at the tool I posted in Dan's "lag at my dorm" thread.

Re: NerdKilla
That still shouldn't knock his connection on and off, only slows it down while downloading via bittorent or something similar.
