Warhammer Online
I know there are some big mmorpg fans here so I figured I recommend this. Normally, I don't have the patience for mmorpgs... but this one allows you to pvp from the moment you create you character. I still haven't done a single pve quest on my characters (high char is lvl 20, lvl cap is 40). I'll post some screenies when I get some time to hop on and play.

If anyone does play this, I'm Towlie (20 Black Orc)/Towliee (6 Zealot)/Towlieee (2 Witch Elf) on the Praag server.

Re: Warhammer Online
Another RTS turned MMORPG...

I guess Mythic, or should I say EA, is tryin' to keep up with the Jones'.

Loved the RTS, won't play the MMORPG. I still believe you should buy a game one time instead of purchasing it every month.
Raise your right hand, and repeat after me.
I do solemnly swear,
To run like a Kenyan.
Teabag mofos.
And shoot 'em in the dick.

Re: Warhammer Online
Uh, Warhammer isn't a RTS.

Also, it's a pity this game was such a flop. It could have been good if they didn't just try and emulate WoW.

Re: Warhammer Online
i was a long time final fantasy fan, i was hoping to see that in a global scale, but with all the other games, its lost its appeal. i just want to hack shit up, shoot it, and summon demons. is that so much to ask.

I have always agreed with this, but I decided to give the game a whirl since I heard great things about it.

The Warhammer and Warhammer 40K series have both had RTS games in the past, however they never were big. But, it is not originally based off the RTS games, it's based off a table-top game (www.games-workshop.comWink. Also, if you've played the game you would realize that while there are similarities to WoW, those similarities are generally not prevalent in WAR. The majority of WoW is based around PvE, while WAR is primarily based around PvP. WoW you have to run instances hundreds of times for gear, and it becomes extremely repetitive (not to mention the hours of farming mats and rep). In this, the majority of the gear comes from rewards for earning influence in the PvP areas, as well as for PvE, but the PvE gear is really just there as filler until you have gotten the PvP rewards. This game, while still having some kinks worked out (the pathing is really starting to piss me off, and a few spells that need nerfing), is imo far superior to WoW, in fact since that wad of shit that Blizzard released called WotLK there has been a surge of WoW players moving over to WAR.

Man, you can't just go around calling things gay after proclaiming that final fantasy is one of your favourite series.
