Ok, umm, well, didn't see a Gaming area, so here goes.

Well installed the game a while ago, never played it. Figured I'd try it today, grabbed the 1.2 patch, installed that, started game, game immediately tries to deafen me with amazingly loud bad sound! SCREAMING BLINDING DEAFENING NOISE!!!! Checked sound in options, adjusted as best I could. Still amazingly bad sound. I'm on XP w. SP3. Googled it, and found that treyarch or whoever it is screwed up the patch, and will TRY to fix it in 1.3 For vista you have to set your sound quality to like 16 bit 48000 or something like that. I don't know if XP has that option. Any ideas? Aside from uninstalling the game and reinstalling without the patch.

I played it with the first patch and I didn't have this issue. However, I haven't finished the single player storyline cause the game crashed mid mission and I didn't feel like playing it again (this was the one where you are in the airplane shooting at the boats).

Ironically, once I finally got my new rig I practically stopped playing games on the comp.
