The breathless Greek pilot radioed the airport control tower in Athens to ask if there was another jet close by.

"I see on my right, at approximately the same altitude, an unknown target flying from south to east," the unnamed pilot told the control tower.

"Altitude and heading are not stable — it is increasing speed — headings are erratic."

The Greek air force sent two fighters to investigate the UFO, which was described as looking like a star that moved erratically and constantly changed shape. However, it vanished into the upper atmosphere before the fighter jet pilots could get close enough to view it.

"I can confirm the incident," an Olympic Airlines spokeswoman said.

"It is the first of its kind involving our pilots."

Greek authorities kept the close encounter secret for over a year but have now released the documents and conversation recordings, generating huge public interest.

The UFO was not detected by radar, and Greek officials say it was probably mistaken for the planet Venus, which can be seen in the autumn night sky.

most sightings are natural phenomenon 90%. then there are the black ops projects. after those, are actual unexplained or unidentified. The body of evidence is growing, despite the mocking support of some. You would be surprised at what Obama and his team think about this.

Two examples are John Podesta and Hillary Clinton. Podesta was at the 2001 press club conference regarding the 400 military/ government witnesses about UFO's and asked for the government to open its books. Theres far far more stuff like this. Including documentation of a UN meeting regarding the disclosure of a certain amount of UFO related documents from all countries. Just like france, belgium, britain, mexico, and other countries are doing or have already done. We will see more and more of this stuff. Hasn't anyone noticed the media coverage growing over this? Washington mall UFO sighting during Obama's speech? Peoples ignorance is frightening, especially since the people they put in charge are giving the warning, and its laughed at.

I highly doubt life forms on other panet evolved like us or anything on Earth. If they did, I not only feel sorry for Earth, but for the whole Universe. That means there is no hope for sanity.

I've seen some shit that maneuvered unlike anything we have. Coulda been one of ours, but since we don't know for sure, it's a UFO.

Personally, I think the majority of actual CRAFT that can't be identified are of human origin. Also, don't expect the government to come clean. The best smokescreen for new aircraft development is the whole public perception on UFOs. Anybody who sees a new aircraft and can't identify it, automatically thinks it's of extraterrestrial engineering. Those that report the sightings, are automatically seen as a toothless hillbilly with a newly loosened asshole.

It's a win-win situation for anybody developing new aero-tech that wants to keep it hush-hush.

After all this time you'd think Mork or ET would land correctly and stop crashing into our deserts, come out for a visit and relax with the crazy Eathlings. Nope, they can build spaceships that travel at lightspeed, hover in our atmosphere without a prop or blade rotating, and anal probe at the same time, but they can't land safely.....Go figure...
