Sorry for the late response Lock but I would reccomend you buying from an airsoft forum. You can get a used gun with many mods already done
for half the cost. What you want to look for is:

upgraded hop-up rubber
tight bore barrell
stronger spring
(possible) gear set

You want to shoot .25 weight BBs at NO LESS than 350 fps

but seems i have to wait for a bit, since i just ordered a new laptop for in my dorm
have to save some money before i can actually start buying some airsoft gear, but that gives me time to do some extra research

Gold, a buddy of mine here in Canuckland wants to get an airsoft gun, solely for the purpose of killing squirrels. Yes, I'm serious. 8-| Is there a website you'd recommend? Preferably some place that'll ship over the border without being accompanied by the FBI, ATF, and RCMP.

Gamo is one brand of pellet guns. Check Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's for pellet guns. I don't know if they ship to Canuckland or not.

A couple other retailers to check out (if you have them up in there) are Sportsman's Warehouse, and Dick's.

You can also cruise E-Bay and the like for them. They're all as accurate as you could want (at that level), but GAMO happens to be my favorite. The fixed barrel has an advantage in that department over the break barrel models. Keep in mind weight of ammunition also has an impact on this.

breakbarrels can get annoying, CO2 guns are cool cause you don't have to pump, etc.

I have a Crossman .177 that shoots over 1000 fps but is breakbarrel and a Gamo .22 thats also break barrel, they're fun to shoot but the whole reload process is tiring after a while. Mostly shoot a daisy rifle which shoots both 177 pellets and copper bb's, it has a pump at the bottom and most of the time you only gotta pump it twice, 500-600 fps or more pumps for > fps. The daisy rifle is the cheapest I have but I use it the most cause its faster to reload.
