I have a PSU from an old intel mobo, can i install it on a amd mobo?

Should be able too. However, it has to be strong enough to run all your components or you will have tons of problems, bsods, shutdowns, etc.
If you have a newer mobo then it should be 24 pin, most common powersupplies have 20+4 pin connection which works with the newer 24 pin config and the older 20 pin. So just count the pins and compare to your mobo. | |||

yea power isnt the problem, only reason i asked was cause when i was first building comps, i used to swap out psus like one plug at a time and put the other one in so i wouldnt miss anything, and when i went to do this one machine, for some reason it didnt have the 4 min molar that intel mobos have and i was all like wtf is this.
my bros psu i think is gonna die lol, its making some high pitched noise unless u shut the power down so gonna take my old one out and put it in his which is amd. | |||
