Went hiking with my dad on Sunday trying to find an old lead mine in our town. We had a topo map with an x but had a hard time finding the thing. After hiking on the mountain for about 6 hours, we finally found it; we must have walked 18 miles before we did.
Here's a few pics.
My dad disappearing into the tiny hole that barely fit him.

Once you go into the tiny hole.

More to come once I go back.

Now, why was this place so hard to find if it had a great bid X on it? Was the X painted in the same color as the rock?
:-?
